J's has a nice college vibe and our server was nice but the food was awful. It was such a waste of money. The grits were dry and like cold mush. There was very little chicken. They diced some tomatoes even though the menu stated it included peppers and onions. When I asked about the missing veggies, the chef said the dish didn't come with it but I had to point out what the menu said. Beat the lunch crowd by getting there when they opened. Being our first time here looked forward to good food based on other's reviews. Food was ok, but overpriced. $16 for a chopped Italian sub on a tough roll. Wing chips were good- crispy and not very greasy like other restaurants. The atmosphere was very nice. Well lit with lots of windows and easy to see tvs if interested in sports programs. The young man who served us was ok, but not real attentive.
