About this business

Joy Yee's Noodles opened in evanston in 1993 and our second location in Chinatown Square in 1996. We were the first in the midwest to offer Taiwanese style bubble teas. Joy Yee's Noodle Shop's bubble drinks are not healthy at all. The bubble drinks are not so good anymore.... I miss the lady who use to blend them for me.... The drinks are not healthy at all even though they use FRESH FRUITS because they add a lot of sugar to it, they add about 2-3 huge scoop of sugar water. To me, the food seems to be the same for all other asian restaurant. The food are expensive.

Hands down the best pan-asian food in Chicago I'm pretty sure most Chicagoans agree that this restaurant is fantastic! They have so many options here and reasonable prices. They also make great bubble tea drinks...the almond milk tea is my favorite. I'm not crazy about how they decorated this location, and prefer the coziness of the Evanston location.

Good drinks, but too crowded, food so-so The food is mediocre, not bad nor that good either. The fruit drinks however were fresh and are very good. The place is small and cramped. They need a bigger place. The service could be better too. We were never checked on after the food was delivered. Overall, it would have been a satisfactory experience if the place weren't so crowded.

Go here! Go here! Over my five day trip to Chicago I went to Joy Yees a total of THREE times. Thats right, three days out of five, I went to Joy Yees thats how good it is. Also, I hail from the Bay Area, home of bubble tea galore, but we dont have anything like this back home. The drinks are much larger that standard and the flavors and variety of drinks is awesome. They also serve up some good food for affordable prices only sticking point is that the service is only so-so.

yummy mango bubble tea I cant say enough good things about Joy Yees Noodles in Chinatown. This place has the best mango bubble tea!!!! Some friends and I decided to try the Taste of Chicago food festival, but we ended up coming here three times. Our rice dishes were savory, though we kept eyeing the soup noodles at the table next to us. The prices are affordable and the portions large. Plus, the menu comes with pictures so you know what to look forward to.

Excellent NoodleShop and More Joy Yee is the best Fruit and Tapioca drinks shop in chicago. They have every fruit, tapioca, milk tea combination possible. Their prices are getting a bit high now but their drinks are huge. their food is also on the large side with colorful menus to look at for those who are unfamiliar with their food. You have to try out this restaurant once if you visit chinatown.

Food too Hyped, but Bubble Tea Worth it. This trendy chinese resturant was the spot for my Asian American friends and I....but thats in the past. The food has been downgraded a bit, ex pineapple rice seems like its no longer steamed in the pineapple (not sure it ever is, but it isn't here). The bubble tea is still really good and one of the best in Chicago, they use fresh fruit. They used to be the original one in Chicago, but its a fun and easy place to take people new to Asian food (they have pictures in their menus).

fresh fruit drinks, big portions, reasonable price-what more can u ask for! This place is always packed with diversity. make sure you sign in on the clipboard if there is a wait. every table has a colorful drink next to their boat shaped entrees. your main entree always come before your appetizer. in order to get the attention of your waiter/waitress, you have to wave your arms and make eye contact with them. make sure you get the bubble tea(drinks).

great food They have great food with great bubble tea! They sell all sorts of asian food from korean to chinese to thai to japanese. Their Thai Basil Chow Funn has got to be my all time favorite. They use the freshest fruits for their smoothies. The only complaint has got to be the way the restaurant is set up. It's small and crowded and loud and there's always a wait to be seated!
