Joy Yee's Noodles opened in evanston in 1993 and our second location in Chinatown Square in 1996. We were the first in the midwest to offer Taiwanese style bubble teas. Going a step further, Joy Yee's was the first to combine the South Asian fresh fruit freezes(smoothies) with the popular tapioca balls. I love coming here for the NON typical Chinese food cause I can fried rice, crab rangoons and egg rolls at my neighborhood's local Chinese restaurant. The food is fresh, delicious, plentiful and unique! The drink list is endless. But the wait staff nowadays aren't like what they used to be like back in the day....with that said, don't expect the wait staff to "service" you...they won't come check on you or automatically refill your water....all they do is just take your order and leave....the next time they will come around ... read more
Customer service is ok, but what really counts is the food. They have a huge variety, no matter what you get it's delicious, servings are more than enough, and the price is fitting for the amount they give you. They revamped their furniture, a lil while back, so it's more cool and spacious, now.
Went out on a date took my friend 1st time there living in Chicago all his life and never heard or been here and loved it
Made a stop here about mid-day Friday afternoon. It was packed in the front and we were seated in the back corner. The boba drinks were quite large compared to a regular boba drink. Looking at the menu, we were pretty overwhelmed as there were lots of food pictures. Service was good and quick. Food portions were good size. We ordered few appetizers, and I ordered a small chicken dumpling soup, which came out in this rather large bowl. Overall, we couldn't finish the food so we packed it to go.
