My mother went to this provider for a colonoscopy and woke up twice in intense pain during the procedure. After having to end the procedure early with no results, she was told it was her fault that she woke up because she didn’t follow the instructions despite having followed prep instructions to a T prior to coming in. I am very upset with this service hearing that my mother woke up not once but twice during such an invasive procedure then being blamed as if it was her fault is absolutely ridiculous. This is a review for Dr. Joy Liu, GI doc at Northestern. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Liu! Her kindness, quick follow-up, and attentiveness has made a world of difference for my GI health. Her expertise is unrivaled, leading to a quick and effective diagnosis, and her responsiveness and care make her an exceptional doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Liu to anyone seeking a GI doctor.
