About The Nursery Photo by Janet Loughrey All Rights Reserved We founded Joy Creek Nursery in 1992 after years of being frustrated by our inability to find the plants we wanted and reliable information about them at our local nurseries. What started out as a mail-order nursery soon grew to include both retail sales and garden design and installation. Our nursery is located 18 miles north of Portland, Oregon, on a ridge overlooking the Joy Creek canyon and the confluence of the Columbia and Willamette Rivers. The nursery prop... read more

The staff; knowledgeable and helpful.
Beautiful display gardens; selection of unusual plants; plant knowledge.
They have a great selection of plants. I have placed a number of orders and my plants arrive healthy and wanting to be planted. Haven't lost a one in Scott's Valley, CA. I highly recommend this nursery.
Joy Creek Nursery has amazing customer service! I realized a few months after my purchase that my clematis weren't growing. I wasn't sure if they were dormant from their cross country adventure, had a suicide pact or that I had somehow murdered them. I reached out to Joy Creek and Kathy was so kind and responsive, she talked me through a few checkpoints and once we determined their grim fate she offered to replace them. Thank you for being kind, standing by your product and motivating me to keep working at my green thumb!
Business response:
Aw, thank you so much Teresa - Kathy says it was her pleasure working with you. We hope your replacements work well and keep working on your green thumb! :)
Always stop there on the way to Portland. Route US 30 is a relaxing alternative to I-5, and this nursery is the bonus stop!
Always super helpful... it's worth the drive for me every time.
I ordered several hardy upright fuchsias and even though it was early February, they arrived quickly and were happy and healthy. Great work!
Wonderful plants, inspirational gardens and great people! Will be back on our next trip to Oregon.
Absolutely amazing! Walking the paths is so peaceful and beautiful A real treat
