I got the Trainwreck chai latte the maple, vanilla, Carmel and hazelnut and added two shot of espresso. I normally love chai but this one was overpowering of just spices and I couldn’t taste any of the other flavors. When I asked if I could do something different because the drink was bitter and just full of spice they said they couldn’t. I paid over 8.50 for the drink and wouldn’t plan on getting it again… The environment was chill but I probably won’t be back. I ended up having to throw the whole drink away.
I don’t know what Joy Bar does to make their coffee so fresh but it is the best locally available coffee hands down. They have a wide array of delicious food items as well as creative spins on popular favorites. The place was packed with a line out the door. Nobody was at Caribou which is cross the parking lot for reference.
I tried this place out for the first time since Special Blend closed. That was my go-to place. I like to support special causes. The coffee was much more expensive than any other coffee shop I've been to recently and it was average at best. It was a total of $12 with a specialty coffee (small) and a shot of espresso for my friend (two drinks).
I will definitely be be coming here more
