I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience at NCH and Journey Care. The nurses and aids were all wonderful. They took excellent care of my Mom and also me as I worked through this very difficult time. They took time to take care of me while taking care of my Mom’s needs. They listened and comforted me and her every step of the way.
Really disappointed in the nurse that came to talk to us about hospice. She was like a used car salesman or an infomercial celebrity. My grandmother isn't a used car or a shamwow. I don't need the high pressure sales pitch and then the pressuring threats that if we don't sign now they might not have room. Really tacky and inappropriate. We went with a another provider.
The level of care JourneyCare was able to provide was below par during a very difficult time for my family. I had to purchase supplies and continually call for updates, make requests and find out when a nurse was coming. A Northwest Community Hospital social worker recommended JourneyCare when it came time for my father's hospice care. Don't follow NCH's recommendation. Times have changed. My mother started hospice on February 6th. Everyone at Journey was wonderful. They made such a hard time so much easier. Barb, our nurse was extra special...well always remember you. You definitely found your calling!
