I’ve volunteered with JourneyCare’s Beech team for over a year, serving as a respite hospice volunteer , and I cannot say enough good things. From my very first orientation to every shift since, the staff has been incredibly welcoming, supportive, and professional. Everyone works so hard to make sure patients feel comforted, safe, and cared for, whether through companionship, light errands, pet or music therapy, or just being there so families can get a reprieve. Blown away!!! My dad, suffering stage 4 cancer, spent the last 4 days of his life on this floor. He was comforted by the nurses, spoken to each time they touched him, and cared for with such dignity-even after death! Anita, Anna, and Brittany were some of the most fabulous nurses I’ve ever encountered! They also made sure family was comfortable.
