My son and I LOVE coming to Jou Jou. It is truly a gem of a place, not just for my little one, but for me as a stay at home mom (and extrovert) to be around other parents and adults. I get to sip coffee and chat while my baby plays and explores. Such a beautiful, clean, wonderful, special place, we are so lucky to have it in Des Moines.
A really unique and fun place to take your little ones. It's really nice that there is this resource in DSM.
The business doesn’t honor their obligation with the play passes they sell. If the facility has been booked with special events ticket sales your play passes will be declined to be used. They don’t tell you this when you purchase a play pass or gift card. They don’t listen to these concerns and seem unwilling to refund . Most of these special events are during prime playtimes.
I had such a great time at Jou Jou with my toddler! The space is beautifully set up for little ones - safe, engaging, and full of thoughtful details that make it easy for both kids and caregivers to enjoy. We loved story time, and the staff—maybe the owner?—was incredibly kind and welcoming. It honestly felt like a little oasis. We’d come every day if we could! Can’t wait to visit again soon.
