When my husband was diagnosed with diabetes, his doctor recommended counseling through St. Mary’s. We were told it was covered by our insurance. It was not completely covered. For one individual counseling session with a nurse, who was not a dietician and could not answer some questions about diet, and a1 one hour group session with the same nurse they charged us $472.
