My son wasn't gaining enough weight and I brought up my concerns with Dr. Viera or whoever it was, that my son kept throwing up. He prescribed a medication that is not proven to even help with vomiting and if my son had an underlying gastrointestinal issue, would have made things worse. He also talked about supplementing with formula, which would have done nothing to find the underlying issue. !!!!!UPDATE!!!!!! We received a call the same day and everything was made right. I meant to update this review sooner but forgot. We still take our child here and love our Dr. Rauchel! We have a new born and for the 1 month visit we came in late for the appointment because we thought it was at a different time. (They do not call or send a reminder text like other doctor offices) While in waiting room at the front another family has the same thing occur. I cannot recommend Joshua Tree Pediatrics enough! Finding a provider who truly understands the nuances of neurodiversity while also being gentle enough for a newborn is a rare find, but they nailed it. ​They were absolutely awesome with my son who has ASD. The staff was patient, accommodating, and made him feel comfortable in an environment that can usually be overwhelming.
