Great place for private party – I had a birthday party in the back area of the bar for 35 people. My assistant called and booked it for me easily. I spoke with one of the managers, Greg, a few times to select food items and such. He was great! Accommodating and made appropriate suggestions. Great Afterwork Bar – Met a bunch of friends after work here. Conveniently located...reasonable prices for stiff drinks...good deals on other drinks...decent food...recommended.
Where everybody knows your name? – It was pretty quiet when we stopped in, but I could tell this was the kind of bar I could feel comfortable in. Their Lobster Special went up $10 in just over a year! – We (s/o and I) love going to Joshua Tree for their Lobster special - $14.95 for Lobster, Baked Potato and Corn is a great deal! Then they raised it to $19.95. At first we were a bit upset, but we came back at least 20 times through the year. Friendly Staff. Good Drinks. Relaxed Vibe. – I love this bar. It's a great place to escape the times sq' madness. I came here one night just before the holidays and I was greeted by a very friendly Irish guy, from Dublin I think. The service was great and he made me a damn good drink. (Blueberry Cosmo). Lame-Empty-Bad Drinks – You know whats great, when you try a bar for the forst time, go in-even when it's empty-and then get ignored. 2 bartenders-3 waitresses-all hugging and talking to 1 regular, I'm the only other customer in there. Waiting...waiting...waiting. Finally! A drink-a weak-$8 drink! Never again. It would be ok if there was good music, i would have stayed on the hope that maybe they would get busy, but when the staff won't even make you feel welcome, and they are not cute to look at- BYE!
AWEFUL – IF I COULD'VE GIVEN THIS PLACE LESS THAN 1 STAR, I WOULD HAVE! Drinks were weak and expensive, crowd was non existent, waitstaff unattentive, and there was no vibe. YUCK!
Best Bartenders In Hells Kitchen! – The bartenders in this place are amazing. Rob and Mike made our New Year so much fun! They we're great, fast, personable, and very attentive, the bar was packed but anytime we needed another drink we never had to wait longer than like 30 seconds. AMAZING BARTENDERS! and HOTT! soooo HOTT! It was so mush much fun, I can't wait to go back to the Joshua Tree!
Uneatable Lunch Special – I ordered the eggplant parm lunch special which oddly enough came with a side of mashed potatoes (they were good) however the eggplant was covered with a glue like mozzarella already midway through solidifying over the overly fried and dry eggplant.
