About this business

For those who like to watch sports with a rowdy, drunken crowd, this Murray Hill bar is an ideal spot. The decor of sports memorabilia and big television sets is popular with the crowd of post-collegiate sports devotees. The food consists of bar snacks, including Buffalo wings and burgers. Serious sports fans should note that this place is a little bit more about partying than about sports.

fun! – I had an awesome time singing a long and dancing at Joshua Tree. The drinks were slightly pricey for the atmosphere. The staff was also pretty rude to us for pretty much no reason at all.

Great times!!!!!! – Having just moved to Murray Hill was looking for a bar to call my own. Joshua Tree fits the bill. Was there a number of times over the past two months and havent been disappointed yet. Always gets a good crowd (although sometimes to much of a crowd) was also there for the yankee world series win and there was a great atmosphere. Definately my new local.

Plenty of creepy guys. – Back in college we went to joshua tree all the time. somehow, I still wind up there from time to time when I'm completely bombed out of my face. the place is kind of dump, in a generic, murray hill bar kind of way. the crowd is probably about half bridge and tunnel & half college students. If you go there with female friends be prepared for extremely aggressive guys who try to dry hhump anything that moves. But maybe I'm just sore because I recently had my jacket stolen after i left it on a seat for ... read more

Perfect pre/post show spot. – Good food, good service. Go for the pre-fixe menu, it's fairly priced and they serve generous portions. A perfect place to hang out with friends for dinner and drinks. Good place if you're going to a show cause it's right around theater district. Enjoy!

Lot of Expats – Crowded. Packed with out-of-towner recent college grads who just moved to New York for their first jobs.

Meh – A moderately fun place to hang out but nothing special. I visited on a Saturday night which is apparently 80s night and must admit that while campy the barrage of great old 80s videos blaring from what seem to be dozens of screens all around the joint was entertaining and refreshing. The crowd is decent enough - most patrons I encountered were just looking to have a good time and enjoying themselves like human beings unlike the swarm of meatheads and ditzy girls I usually encounter at places like Joshua Tree. The downs... read more
