Worst experience I’ve ever had! For years I’ve heard of women of color health issues not being taken serious but I experienced it first hand here. I came in for a follow up visit for my surgery. I tried to explain to the nurse that I hadn’t been feeling well and possibly needed some time off work and she downplayed all my symptoms. She wouldn’t let me talk, she implied that I was lazy. Dr. Hornig is a caring, compassionate physician. He is a strong patient advocate and puts the needs of the patient first. He is not afraid to take on difficult cases. He follows through by addressing quality of life issues, referring the patient to the appropriate providers. He works cooperatively with his team to achieve the best possible outcome. He is a brilliant physician. If you are looking for a specialist in this field, I highly recommend Dr. Hornig without reservation.
Dr. Hornig.....I owe this man my life. I was diagnosed with cancer last year and I am incredibly thankful that I ended up in the more than capable hands of Dr. Hornig and his team. I researched a number of large cancer institutions/hospitals such as Sloan Kettering but ultimately decided to go with MUSC.
