Very thankful for Dr Burkhardt’s expertise and respectfulness. I’ve been to a variety of specialists and another allergist for my situation. His overall bedside manner, willingness to listen, and patience was very helpful and appreciated.
Dr Burkhardt has been absolutely fantastic and made such a difference in my life. I can breath normally again, taste, smell and even exercise and run again. I couldn't do any of this just a few months ago. He has gone to bat for me, taking on Select Heath who has withheld needful medications, and continues to advocate me and even give me trial medications while my insurance refuses to help. Worst asthma/allergy doctor visit I have ever been too. My asthma has been getting worse and my throat keeps swelling up and I feel tightness in my chest. This doctor didn't even listen to my lungs. He didn't perform any tests to check how my asthma was doing. He didn't look at my throat, nose or ears. He basically told me to take Allegra twice a day and to go to the front desk to get blood work done. I felt unheard and rushed out. Dr Burkhardt is kind and welcoming, he listens and tries to understand the situation and never tries to rush off to his next patient. I have a complicated case and he's been more than helpful in helping my figure out my allergies.
Dr wasn't friendly and the appt didn't go as well as I had hoped for. When you go in with test results confirming a diagnosis and you get told you don't have that and you go back and forth then the allergist says, oh I guess you do have that, it doesn't make for a good start. Maybe personality wise it's just not a good match. Staff are friendly.
