He replaced my right gip in December 2022. He very kindly shortened my right leg in the process and eleviiated 33 years of back pain instantly. Not only was I walking less than 3 hours after surgery, but I am pain free to this day. This man is kind, caring and so knowledgeable and skilled at what he does. We read the May '24 reviews here prior to my wife's July 16 visit, but kept an open mind. Maybe they were just misunderstandings, and it's a quirk of a great surgeon. Well, we waited for at least 30 minutes and initially spoke with the PA for another 20, who was very nice and understanding, but no talk about next steps. Dr. Urban then came in. We waited over an hour, he didn't listen to my concerns or answer questions. I was rushed off as being overweight, and he repeatedly said this in our 30-minute meeting. He figured out my BMI and then said wow, I am shocked it's in the normal range. RUDE , do not go After surgery I am still in pain and he just says it will get better.
Evaluated for knee replacement. Felt talked down to and my concerns were dismissed. Dr. Urban appears to only want to work with set patient 'types' and if you are not this 'type' he shames you and sends you on your way.

Dr. Ferlic did my carpal tunnel surgery in 2007 with excellent results. Now older I started experiencing issues with my thumb and my ulnar nerve in my elbows. I looked him up praying he was still providing orthopedic services and I found him. Once again very thorough and caring. Explained to me my options and got a shot in my thumb and a brace for my elbow. I have to make a decision for surgery if the shot doesn't last for 6 months. Awesome doctor!
Unprofessional demeanor and language used to belittle the patient and the patient’s therapist for lack of knee range of motion after surgery. Simply no excuse for this type of patient interaction.
I give everyone at OrthoNebraska five stars from Dr. Urban to the nursing staff to physical therapy to food service. My knee replacement went great and I felt that everyone was invested in my treatment and recovery. I will definitely go back for my other knee.
I had the Iovera procedure done on both legs this spring. I have hardly walked upright for five years and lived on drugs even to sleep due to pain in my legs. After the procedures I walked farm fields, beaches, worked in my yard, straightening my legs enough to walk upright and the pain minimized to the point where I rarely take even an over the counter medication. When I finally decide the time is right.. I will be there for my knee replacements!! Ten ?? Stars!!!! By the way, I live three hours away!
Dr. Ferlic and his staff are awesome!! He has treated me for awhile now. He has great diagnosis skills on problems with wrists and overall health problems that can affect the wrist. Would recommend him to anyone who needs help.
