It is wonderful to feel safe and protected when you have a health concern and know you can text or call your doctor and get assistance right away. I had double pink eye a few weeks ago and texted Dr. J and sent him a pic of my eyes. He immediately sent the pharmacy a prescription of eye drops. Next day I came down with the flu on top of the pink eye and I texted him and he sent me a z-pack to the pharmacy and later when a sore throat would go away he sent me a prescription of Prednisone. Visits with Dr. Bloomberg are open and straightforward. He is practical without compromising medical practices. For example it would be good for me to lose 10 pounds. His advice was both realistic and doable. I felt supported and encouraged - not admonished.
I feel like Dr. Bloomberg is interested in me both as a patient and as a person. I’ve been especially thankful that he’s recognized how stiff I am and how slowly I move. In recognizing this, he sent me to the Cleveland Clinic and directed me in the follow-up the Clinic doctor requested. When these medical interventions were unproductive, he readily sent me to the Advanced Neurological Rehabilitation, where I requested to go, for Physical and Occupational Therapy.
