Damaged my wife's nerve while tooth extraction.She still hasn't recovered sensation or taste on one side of tongue. In a follow-up visit he yanked her tongue out causing massive pain and said something to the effect of 'I thought you liked that last time'. Avoid strongly.

Outstanding dentist. I had a wisdom tooth removed by Dr Slaughter and I can honestly say I've had cleanings that were more uncomfortable (and I was awake the whole time). Practically a painless experience and the whole procedure took less than 10 minutes. I would definitely recommend him to friends or family.

I chose Dr Slaughter to care for my daughters when they needed their wisdom teeth removed. I'm a general dentist and certainly had many choices of oral surgeons. I chose Joe Slaughter because of his great reputation in the dental community, his experience and advanced training, and his amazing team. His office was certainly not the closest, but I felt he was the best to take care of my daughters. They had a 100% comfortable experience and I do recommend this office to everyone!

I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Slaughter and developed an infection which was misdiagnosed. I was told it was a muscle spasm. A month later, I was admitted to the hospital with 6 abscesses and had to have numerous surgeries and 2 pieces of my jaw bone removed. I was suffering from septic shock because the infection had gone into my blood stream. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone.
