I don’t know if we are all seeing the same doctor but he literally walked said there nothing he can do to loose weight funny if he looked at my record he would know I suffer from thyroid too and it’s hard to lose weight. I had an unfortunate experience with Dr. Joseph Lifrak that left me deeply dissatisfied and frustrated. After injuring my knee in a fall on August 25, 2025, I sought his opinion, hoping for a thorough evaluation. Instead, I encountered a dismissive and unprofessional attitude that made me feel unheard and undervalued. Dr lifrak did my left medial meniscus with a flap tear surgery back in January 2025, Had server pain some days I could barely walk and all i can say is what a great surgeon, Dr. Lifrak goes through everything and explains everything in detail and will try everything before doing surgery. But back on my feet feel good as new had to do some physical therapy afterwards but that's to be expected to restregthen the muscles, hamstring, and quad Thank you Dr.Lifrak and the southcoast team
While I have no doubt about his surgical skills, I found his office demeanor difficult to understand. He came across as dismissive, disrespectful, and arrogant. During my second visit, he was particularly disrespectful toward my wife, and at my most recent appointment, he completely dismissed my concerns. Perhaps he simply didn’t like me, or maybe he was having a bad day. Either way, I left feeling insulted by his attitude and innuendos. That said, I want to be clear that I have full confidence in his surgical ability.
I'm a 52-year-old active man who underwent a right knee arthroscopy with a partial medial meniscectomy for a bucket handle meniscus tear. Dr. Lifrak was excellent from start to finish. He explained everything clearly, and the procedure went smoothly. He cleaned up the tear beautifully, and my recovery has been fantastic. I'm now back to 110%, doing all the activities I enjoy without any pain or limitation. I’m extremely grateful for his skill and care — highly recommend Dr. Lifrak for anyone needing expert knee treatment.
