He entered the University of Pittsburgh School of Dentistry in the fall of 1959 and graduated in 1963. Dr. Wampler entered the Navy as a dentist in 1963 and stayed until 1967. He did a two year Pediatric Dental Residency at Northwestern University and graduated in 1969.
