This was our third time there in a week. Our steaks were not prepared properly. We rarely say anything but this time our food wasnt even close. The owner came out and was extremely rude. He only remade one steak because he said back home that s how it would be. Well you will soon be going "back home" treating customers like that. Not good with as many "great" restaraunts in the Rockford area.

First time here on a date with my wife. Website looked appealing as did the menu. Made our reservation on open table with a special request that was honored nicely. Cheese plate appetizer was good as was the salad with fresh ground pepper from the waiter. I ordered the prime rib done medium rare. We had a party of six and none of us had a complaint. I had the filet mignon it was cooked to perfection. We tried the dessert sampler which was another great choice. Our server was fantastic he did a great job of explaining the menu. We will definitely be going to Josef's again in the near future.
