Both of my kids were patients of Dr. Shamsey and were with him since they were 3 days old. Six years later when Dr. Shamsey retired he told me Dr. Tavarez would be taking over for my boys. I’m so thankful to not have had only one Dr. who really cared about their patients but TWO! Dr. Tavarez is phenomenal at what he does. Thank you so much for being such an amazing doctor, for listening when I had concerns and truly making me, as a parent, feel heard.

We are so happy to have Dr T here in Lakewood Ranch. After our lifetime pediatrician Dr R. Shamsey retired, we saw 2-3 providers in the same office but nobody like Dr Tavarez. He is caring, smart, very thorough and accurate. Great to have him here.
Dr. Tavarez practiced in my hometown of Amory, Ms and everyone that used him LOVED him. He is absolutely the BEST. If you are looking for a pediatrician, I highly recommend him. Your child will love and trust him also. Amory misses you tremendously Dr. T!!!
