I didn't have an option for health hazard. I was disappointed to see the sushi chef not wearing a mask. He was not easily noticed from the front of the restaurant because to-go containers were strategically placed to cover him. Sushi is raw food and can be contaminated with droplets from the maskless chef. I can only imagine how many unaware customers could have gotten sick had that chef been contagious. Asymptomatic means no signs or symptoms.

(The chef comped us three appetizers—baked salmon, gyoza, a combination of sutomono salad and calamari salad, and two shots of soju with which we shared a toast!!!) Anytime we are in Pleasanthill area we try to eat at Jo’s Honda Sushi. We used to live in Pleasanthill and we would go there at least once a week. We love Honda and all his family ❤️
Good fresh fish that is well presented. Plenty of options to choose from on the menu.
We were looking at homes in the area and stopped in for dinner on a Friday evening. We were seated and served right away. We had bento boxes. The fried gyoza appetizerthey gave complementary was good but the steamed gyoza on my bento box was undercooked. Also, they serve way too much rice on the bento boxes, we left large portions.
