He is an AMAZING marketer and athlete, but horrible doctor. I saw him for knee issues, and he kept me coming back for no reason except to bill my insurance company (definitely shady). Also misdiagnosed a friend of mine, causing her additional injuries. Patient beware. This guy is super charming, but a total quack.
With all respect to Dr metzel, he might be the best sport doctor but I was very disappointed. I was so exciting that I found primary care sports medicine , especially that he's expert in young athletes BUT It was just waste of time & money traveling to city to see him. I was telling him that I need full blood test , Recovery sucks / sore for days and exhausted all day in workout days. I also mention my current weight and my next goal. Doctor Metzl really knows his stuff. His diagnosis and treatment fixed my ankle. I would not go to anyone else for an injury consultation or fitness advice for that matter!
