Brought a vehicle I was interested in buying for an inspection, was quoted $100 for the service but the technician didn't even bother opening the hood to check the engine or run it against a scanner to see if there were any codes. Took it to another shop nearby where they found out that the catalytic converter needed to be replaced and that the owner had cleared the codes temporarily. Saved myself from buying a headache of a car no thanks to Jooyo!
I feel like I got ripped off. I had my own alternator and all I needed was labor, but they charged me $300 just for the install. A few weeks ago, I went to another dealer who said he’d do it for $150.
My check engine light came on while I was driving nearby, and Said let me bring my car in right away when I called. Everyone at the shop was very kind. Said checked the codes and told me not to worry, my older car's computer detected a small leak. He wrote out the code information for me so I can learn more about it, but no work was needed. A kind, honest, generous business. Grateful they are here.
