Why would you not expect to wait when he is THE leading pediatric lyme Dr.? I also had to put the \$ on my credit card . No complaints from me. We also had to wait 4 months to get in. If you knew how hard these people work all day long, not getting a break, you would understand why it took them a couple of times to get back to you. I have seen tons of people not get adequately treatment for Lyme disease. Dr Jones is the best. The cost and the wait are because Connecticut has an insane attitude on Lyme disease and treatment (happens other places too but Conn wont leave him alone...its harassment and the state government and governor let it happen). The medical board has a vendetta for one of the kindest and competent pediatricians who trained in unusual illnesses in children before there were such specialties. Yes, it is difficult to get an appointment, took me 4 months to get my child in. That is what happens when you only have one Pediatrician who specializes in his area in the world. People come from all over the US to see him. Yes, it is annoying that you cannot get through and speak to the office directly- but the office has ALWAYS called me back, may take a few days. And finally, yes it is expensive, b/c he does not take insurance. NO DOCTOR who specializes in this field takes insurance. They cannot to be able to treat appro... read more
Dr Jones may be good but it you cant get an appointment why bother. I tried for 2 days to get ahold of the Drs office and finally got a call back after the 3rd call. His answering service only picks up calls. Then Im told I cant get an appt. until August. I need someone now. They also dont take insurance. You have to pay \$800 by credit card when you make the appointment. He may be good but hes not helping my son. Guess Im not one of the lucky few.
Made my son better after the specialists at Childrens in Boston gave up.
No-one else could would help our child. Dr. Jones spent much time diagnosing her including a thorough exam and battery of blood tests. His treatment was successful. We love him!
