I chose Dr Russell as my surgeon bc he told me that he had done the most “scarless” thyroidectomies of any surgeon in the US which sounded very convincing. Choosing a surgeon was the most difficult decision I have ever had to make and it ended up being the worst decision I have ever made. Jonathan Russell gave me hypoparathyroidism because he removed one of my healthy parathyroid glands damaged the other two and couldn’t find the fourth. I found Dr. Russell after researching RFA for a thyroid nodule and started watching him on You Tube. I liked what I heard. I had another surgeon closer to home, but was looking at all options.
