Dr. Adams thoroughly reviewed my medical history. He is very knowledgeable and personable. He annswered all the questions my husband and I had. Assessed all the meds and made recommendations for my husband. Showed us diagrams of what specifically is going on with his condition and explained everything thoroughly. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend Dr. Adams and his staff. We feel very confident knowing we are in good hands here.
Dr. Adams was very concise and knowledgeable about every aspect of my visit. He was able to explain to me in layman terms about my heart how the watchmen would be put in and how it worked and that the other opportunity would be to change from my 81 mg baby aspirin to trying one of the newer blood thinners after much discussion. Dr. Adams convinced me I would like to try the blood thinner before looking further at any surgical procedures on my heart.
Dr Adams discussed my issue of Afib and steps we need to take to pretend a possible stroke. he shared that Eliquis was the best preventive option. He was very good about asking questions, sharing possible issues and the best measure to prevent additional heart related issues. I was very impressed with his honesty and concern for my issues. I would not hesitate to recommend him to other patients with heart issues. He is certainly an asset to the Avera Heart Hospital.
