Dr. Philpott did an excellent job with my mitral valve repair. He was able to repair it in lieu of replacing it. He saw me daily after the surgery and during my recovery time at the hospital. His support staff was excellent as well.
Horrible--he laughed when the screws holding my repaired sternum came loose and told me to "just tell people I had loose screws". Many months later when the screws migrated, he told me I was fine--he didn't even look at the CT until I asked if he had seen it. Replied " I will look at it now". He was totally insensitive to my situation. No one even informed me that my surgery time was changed from 7a.m to 1 pm and I arrived with my husband and son at 6 a.m. I found him totally uninterested in taking care of me.Dr Philpott may... read more

Dr. Philpott is an amazing surgeon. He is very caring and answered all concerns that i had. I had multiple issues, some that were found during surgery. I feel better now than i have for many years.
