Patient was in severe and worsening pain for over a year. Kao was suggesting different treatments including surgery. Patient started with the lesser treatments, but requested the surgery after a year of no progress. Kao couldn’t be bothered to read the patient’s chart before the appointment and instead tried to prescribe the same ineffective treatments again as though they were new treatments.
