If you are a women planning to get TKR please reconsider another option. Jonathon Holder, like most surgeons, will not inform you about things such as how much more likely woman are to develop scar tissue which can and most of the time does drastically interfere with a persons recovery. This is crucial information to know and unfortunately doctors do not warn their patients. They do not tell you that your knee strength reduces by 60% after surgery and that you should do weight training for the knee months before the surgery.... read more

Dr. Holder is an exceptional foot and ankle surgeon. He explained everything so clearly and professionally! Highly recommend him.
I am extremely disappointed in Holder’s lack of care for my mom post her TKR. He is a very nice man but we realized that is not enough. He never informed us that there would be a possibility of tissue scarring which could severely impact the recovery. There have been evident issues during the recovery but the only thing we are told is “keep doing therapy.” We’ve done therapy for a long time now but there has been no progress.
