In the 20+ years that Dr. Maks has been my primary care physician, he has helped me in so many ways. He sees your health holistically, in that he feels that your social-emotional health can affect you physiologically. He is thorough, and has a great bedside manner. Above all, he is easy to talk to. Dr. Maks has been my primary care physician for over twenty years. He is an outstanding doctor, as well as a caring human being. He has a great bedside manner, and always makes me feel comfortable. That said, I am deeply disappointed that he is going the concierge medicine route, thereby leaving many of his loyal patients behind. It also astounds me, as I never would have imagined that he would follow this path. Imagine my surprise today when I found out that if I wanted to stay with Maks I now had to pay $5000 a year for the privilege. I suspected he was trying to get me to leave about a year ago when I couldn't get him to renew one of my meds after numerous calls. (He would always blame it on Walgreens and they would blame him. What can't I say to commend Maks. He is my former superior, and is now my present doctor. I've worked in medicine for 14 years never met a more caring, personable, and thorough provider, as well as in my entire life. The best. He'll remember your siblings names and your pet dog's too, his memory and attention to detail is just incredible.
