Phenomenal care by Dr. Schoen. On Sep 28,2025 I went to the emergency room at St. Anthony North Hospital as I was having acute pain, 15 out of 10, in my stomach. After a CT Scan was done, I was told that I had a bowel obstruction and that I was going to be admitted in the hospital that night. To make story short, the next morning Dr. Schoen's assistant came to my hospital room and I was told I needed emergency surgery, as I had a "flipped stomach" (fundoplication medical term). I have had a wonderful experience with CommonSpirit Bariatrics and Dr.Schoen. The team is very supportive and friendly. Very on top of anything I needed before, during, and after surgery.
I have had nothing but a great experience. All the staff has been friendly and professional. My wait times for appointments had some long waits on a few occasions but when I got in the office the staff made sure I had my time , made sure I was heard, and didnt feel rushed at all. I can appreciate the company and staff for being great and treating pt.s well.
Dr. Schoen and his team are all compassionate, kind and very straightforward with their carr and expectations for their patients. Highly recommend this team.
