Had my early birthday dinner at J&P's tonight. Started with the Duck Egg Rollls-yummy!! Had the Steak and Brie Quiesadea, always delish. Mom had the Surf and Turf Burger, which she enjoyed very much. Finished off with the Peanut Butter Pie - it's to die for. Mom had the Sand Bar. Very good but was missing the vanilla ice cream. Was serenaded by the staff and restaurant for my birthday courtesy of our all-time favorite server, Helene! Need to get a mermaid shirt :-) see you all soon!
This is one of those hidden gems! The food is beyond excellent, the service is top notch and friendly! The owners are present and very accommodating! I would beyond recommend Jon and pattys to any and all who asks! On our return to OCNJ there is no question about where we will be eating our meals!
We have been traveling to OCNJ for several years now and were looking for something a little different than the usual boardwalk fare. The atmosphere is charming (Jon greeting you at the front door), service is impeccable (Mikenzie Saturday evening and Kathy Sunday morning), and food delectable (that meatloaf though). It was a perfect dining experience and we will be sure to return next year. My only fear is that won't be soon enough!
Dog friendly, outdoor seating! The Vermont Lodge French toast was wonderful.
