In 2019, I had Right leg sciatica. MRI showed 3 lumbar discs. I was referred to Dr. Park. He performed an anterior-posterior lumber fusion with several pins. The sciatica was relieved. Never had back pain before or after! I am so glad Dr. Park was my neurosurgeon. I had read about him on the Internet and learned that he is one of top spine surgeons in America. Thankfully, Medicare paid it all! I am glad that Stanford is where I get my care.
Dr. Jon Park is the absolute best!! After spinal surgery with 4 pins 10 years ago, I have had NO PAIN there ever since!!!
My experience with Dr. Jon Park was not good. My original left upper leg pain was reduced after the surgery, but new pain began on my other leg and my hips. And also I got genital numbness when I sit. His assistant told me the surgery risk was very low, but it was not that low. Before the surgery his assistant kept telling me I had a spine disk problem in all my visits until in the last pre-surgery visit he told me the surgery was to remove a cyst instead of a fusion mentioned before. Dr. Jon Park quite literally saved my life. I had a spinal abscess caused by an unusual germ that was destroying my spine and needed emergency surgery. On a Friday evening from 8 PM to after 11 PM, he and his team did preliminary surgery to remove the abscess on my spine, and then on the following Tuesday he did another surgery to rebuild it.
