I absolutely love the practice and Doctor McGough! He’s a dynamite internist!
My experience with Martello Primary Care and MUSC scheduling perfectly illustrates why the U.S. healthcare system is broken. We switched a few years ago to Dr. McGough after our physician retired. Best decision ever! Dr. McGough is attentive, patient and explains in detail. He doesn't sugar coat it but does give you help on how to improve and makes sure you are comfortable during the process. The staff is super friendly and personable. Nothing but great things to say about our overall experience!
I really like Dr. McGough a lot, however I am considering moving to someone else as I tested positive with COVID over a week ago (9 days) and spoke to his nurse that day around noon. Was told he’d call me back and I am still waiting on a return COVID call. I reached out via email twice as that usually gets a quick response from him only to again get no response but can see that both emails have been “viewed by staff” which makes me think they are covering their tracks because the messed up.
