Botched my gall bladder surgery and never once came to see me in the hospital. I was in and out of the ER for a month before they finally found a bile leak. I had to pay $10k out of pocket for his mistake and nearly died. He just said”we aren’t as young as we used to be. I’m glad you didn’t die.”
Dr Getz disappeared. He was fired from Boise Orthopedic Group. I have a chronic mesh infection after surgery last June. I received little assistance from Dr. Getz. His nurse told me not to send photos of a massive infection that I could not control. Very tough situation for almost a year now. Trying to manage wound without additional surgery. On my own.
Simply put, this man saved my life. I would highly recommend him (and I have) to anyone needing surgery. He is the best.

I am on chemo and was operated on for a perirectal abscess. Dr. Getz was in the OR that day for my last-minute surgery. I had consulted with Dr. Henson earlier that day. Dr. Getz's bedside manner and demeanor put me at ease immediately. At my follow-up appointment, I appreciated his sense of humor. However, another abscess cropped up days later. After a few calls, his nurse practitioner told me he said to follow-up with my oncologist. Due to that, I've suffered more. I feel I was denied care.
