My mother is 87 years old. She had an extremely large hiatal hernia...3/4 of her stomach was in her lung cavity. Sorry this is my kids profile I see lol. I had Dr Gould for weight loss surgery at the end of June 2017. It was my first surgery and was extremely nervous. Dr Gould reassured me and was very confident all would go well. He went out of his way to come see me before the procedure while I was in the pre surgery area. He went the extra mile to make me feel comfortable.
I have Achalasia. I have had two previous Heller myotomies previously, and Dr. Gould and his team preform my third one 6 days ago. I am recovering wonderfully and Dr. Gould was able to perform my 5 hour surgery, which was far from a standard surgery, all vie minimally invasive surgery. Five small incisions and the work of a master surgeon and his team have made me able to eat again, which is one of the things having a Achalasia made really hard to do.
