The first time I visited his office was for suspected carpal tunnel syndrome. We opted at that time to inject both carpal tunnels with a steroid and pain reliever. My right side was treated without incident, however when the left side was done the needle hit a nerve and my index finger went numb. Once the pain killer wore off, my index finger remained numb and stayed that way for quite some time. If I lightly tapped my left inner wrist I would get shooting shocks along my index finger.
