Not your average John. – This cozy, romantic, well appointed cottage serves up terrific entrees at prices you would expect for this level of cuisine. We started with a very tangy ceasar salad and an apple pecan stilton salad that was loaded with stilton. For our entrees we had the duck breast served with wild mushroom ravioli in a brandy sauce (excellent), and the Marmite Marseillaise fresh combination of seafood similar to bouillabaise. book publisher – Best dining expereience ever. Friendly staff, superb chef, excellent food, romantic and quite atomisphere. Wide range of menu selections, chef's specials are a must. Even foods that I had never tried before this dining expereince and might not have ordered, if it were not for the managment suggestion, were absolutly fabulous. Dinner with Friends – Myself and 5 friends recently dined at John's and what a dinner! We knew John's was under new ownership and were very excited to try it out. The food was amazing and the service excellent. They have a wonderful selection of wines for such a small restaurant. I recommend the Alaskan Halibut. For a wider sampling go with the chef's tasting menu. Dessert is a must with the Queen Sheba. I have rediscovered John's, I recommend you do the same!
