My husband stopped after work today and got take out. It was terrible. He ordered curry goat and got BBQ instead and 3/4 of the meal was this dry tasteless rice and the cabbage had set so long it tasted burnt. The jerk chicken was so dry pieces were hard and uneatable. If we didn t live so far away we would of taken it back but we ended up throwing it away. Wiil never go back and we will make sure our friends know about this.
Being on a gluten free diet, there are not alot of places that I can eat, without a fear of cross contamination from wheat being used in the fryers etc. This restaurant has absolutely none of that and I can eat everything except the fish cakes and meat pies. A selection of gluten free offerings this vast is rare and exciting for me. My husband and I tried Johns Jamaican BBQ for the first time on Christmas Eve. We both really loved it. The Best Curry Chicken I have ever had!Mr. Johns has delicious Jamaican food. The service was great and it was a wonderful Experience. Mr. John makes you feel right at home. You will definitely want to come back again. My experience at John Jamaican BBQ exceed my expectation. I had the pleasure to taste several items on his menu. I was very disappointed in both the ambiance of the restaurant in that it was very hot inside, and just not a fun place to sit and enjoy your meal. We both had the Jerk Pork and it was tasty but seemed overcooked. The rice with peas were ok, but nothing I would write home about. The cabbage was actually the best thing on the plate.
