I have NEVER had an issue with this office. After 20 years in the military and being subject to waiting "HOURS" for appointments with a PA who most likely got their credential from WHATS-A-MATTER -U, I was delighted to have the opportunity to go to this office. They are very professional and I can truly say that my doctor is very caring and her bedside manners are exceptional. Have I had to wait longer than expected at times,, sure. After over 20 years of dealing with military doctors, I have no complaints about the folks at Johns Hopkins Community Physicians of Charles County. I get seen by a competent doctor and the nurses are first rate. I'm very happy with my care at that location!
When the appointment was made I was told be on time! Appointment time was 5:45pm, arrived at 5:34pm. Waited in lobby until 5:49, for vital check. Sent back to lobby until 6:34pm. Waited in exam room until 6:47, Dr Steadman offered no apologies upon entering the exam room finished the visit at 6:54pm. Tell me how this experience could have been better?
You can't get an appointment in a timely manner. I just called to get in with the doctor and the soonest I can get in is April...it's January. A 4 month wait...really? Absurd. I wanted to have a Primary Care Doctor, but at this rate, I'm better off just going to Patient First.
If you want poor customer service, inability to get appointments and doctors that do not return phone calls, only nurses. You have to relay you issues thru a nurse that relays it to the doctor and the doctor back thru the nurse. There is no patient/doctor confidentiality, if thats the type of health care you want, then this is the place to go. It took me months to get an appt for a physical only for them to cancel it a week before my appointment! Not worth the hassle.
