Im 57 now. I met John when I was about 17 and he rebuilt a killer 383 which he bolted inot my 1970 4 Speed Sateliite (Almost a Road Runner!). I remained in touch with him over the years and in about 2009, I bought a 1973 340 Plymouth Duster factory 4sp factory air with 55,000 miles on it. It cost me a pretty penny back then. I wanted to preserve the original motor. I bought another 340 used for $1,000. try finding them now. I purchased over $5,000 in engine parts including a Hughes Cam setup and even an engine girdle. Totally unprofessional and unqualified shop. I wouldn't trust them to rebuild my lawnmower engine. The owner has an antique funnycar in the back he tries to pass off as his own. He had nothing to do with it.

They seemed knowledgable at first but when I took my engine in for machining I quickly found out I knew more than they did. They overcharged me for cleaning and checking and even had the nerve to charge for 'research' (meaning they didn't really know anything about the American-made engine I brought in for them to work on, contrary to what the originally told me). I strongly suggest taking your business elsewhere.

John's Cages is NOT an automotive repair facility! They do custom machine work, standard and high performance! With an extensive background in drag racing, John's Cages can build race cars from the ground up. Whether it's chassis, engine or transmission for a daily driver or a Top Fuel Funny Car, John's Cages can handle it!
