UPDATE: This update is about nothing other than saying that since moving to Delaware, the thing I miss most about Portland is my barber. Love you, bud, hope you're well. I haven't gotten a haircut in a year because I don't like how anyone has cut it. If I had money money, I'd fly back just for a haircut. 2 Years ago... Johnny is a good guy who gives great haircuts and conversation! 10/10 Will definitely be back. BTW Cash only, don't make the same mistake I did 🤦‍♂️

Johnny and I have so much fun verbally riffing when I’m getting my ears lowered. (I really am that dad) The old school barber shop ethos is mixed with a bit of a John Waters aesthetic. This place couldn’t be more up my alley.

After six weeks since my last haircut, I went to Johnny for the second time - and this experience was even better than before! Johnny's is as close as Portlanders of the 21st century will ever get to Floyd's Barbershop in Mayberry. Johnny offered me a beer and I explained to him how the Vitamin R in a cold can of Rainier has been scientifically proven to reduce stress and social anxiety. We had a great conversation.
