Normally not the type to leave reviews but felt I had to for the purpose of future incidents. This salon has its pros which is why I kept going back- minimal wait time and fast workers, lots of color options, good work. I was shocked when I came here from my other salon because they charge for every little thing. Reshaping costs money, color changes are $50, pedis are expensive, chrome add on is $30 more when it’s just a powder, designs are expensive. I’ve been getting my lashes done at Johnny’s since 2018. I first started with Sweet Lashes, then followed Karina when she moved to Johnny’s. Since moving from Queens to Long Island, I’ve tried several local lash places, but nothing compares. My lashes last for weeks, and as a mom of two, it’s so convenient knowing I can make the trip to Queens and still get a same-day appointment. Karina has always been attentive and personable. I absolutely love Johnny’s and wouldn’t trust anyone else with my lashes!
I’ve been to many nail salons, and I’ve never paid this much for a regular manicure and pedicure before. A regular manicure is $25 and a regular pedicure is $50. In my opinion, the price felt overpriced considering the level of service. The service was just average, so I wanted to share this for anyone considering a visit.
I normally don’t leave negative reviews, but I feel like I need to share my experience. I went to Johnny’s Nails for eyelash extensions, and unfortunately it was one of the worst beauty service experiences I’ve had. Within 2 days, my lashes were already falling out and my eye became extremely irritated, red, and bloodshot. The photos I’m posting speak for themselves. what they overcharged me $160 for. When I inquired about the price I was told next time I should ask for price ahead of time… never needed to because I have never been blindsided before. Apparently they not only charge for cat eye and design but $30 extra for a chrome line (crooked and chipped on one nail) plus another charge for using multiple colors. Also careful ladies, they will charge you to remove the gel nail polish they put on your toenails the last time you were there.
