Have enjoyed This restaurant for a number of years, any special days were at Johnny's. The service is excellent, and the meal was good, a little expensive but good. Until a week ago, I, my wife and a friend that I had bragged about this restaurant ordered the usual Best cut of prime rib and got the worst prime rib we have ever tried to eat. The meat was was tough and stringy. They did replace it but the second was just as bad. We ended up taking it home for the dog. This was my Birthday and cost my friend and I $72.00 plus t... read more
I would highly recommend Johnny's. I did not know what to expect from a restaurant attached to my hotel, but was pleasantly surprised. The service was great and the good is fantastic.
Only reason we went there is because we had a gift-card. We've been there before and from the past the food is average or sub-par when it comes to cooking and present their meat dishes. This night they really slaughterd their prime rib dish horrible unpalatable. I asked for medium rare and got raw undercooked chewy pig tar.
My daughter chose Johnny's for her birthday dinner! She ordered the Medallion Trio, her favorite and oft ordered entree. She ordered it medium rare. When it arrived it was tough and definitely not medium rare. Our gracious and attentive server, Hannah, had someone sent to the table to address our daughter's concerns. It was taken to the kitchen. Upon the return of the same medallions our daughter was told to hold it up to the light of the window to check it! We were all taken aback at that suggestion!! The gal was pretty ass... read more
My husband and I had our wedding dinner at Johnny's and it was amazing! Food is delicious, worth the price.
Johnny's is not the place to go for a quick bite, but the food is well worth the prices. Mind you, the prices are not out of line, but you will probably pay $20 for dinner, plus drinks and tip. However, the steaks and seafood are excellent. The crab-stuffed shrimp are mouth-watering, as is the steak with blue cheese. I love the bread with olive oil, so much better than the standard white roll and butter found in so many places. The seating is comfortable; the drinks are great; and I've never had bad service. Go, relax, and i... read more
This restaurant is wonderful. From the Ambiance to the fine dining. The grilled chops with mashed potatoes . YUM!
I have eaten here a couple of times with clients and have come away with the same impression each time that this is just another in a long list of chain steakhouses that always manager to serve a pretty good steak but nothing ever really says wow. The best steak that I have ever had in Omaha and possibly anywhere for that matter is Prestige which is just a few minutes down the street. It seems to me that if you are going to have a steak in Omaha you just have to go to the locally owned restaurants, which I am told Prestige i... read more
Obviously they put their money into the building hoping that us dumb folks from Omaha would not notice that they are using inferior cuts of beef.
