Dr O’Kane is amazing. I’ve had a long-standing knee issue for which I’ve had a recent meniscus repair surgery. The surgery did not successfully resolve my symptoms, and Dr O’Kane provided me a second opinion. After reviewing my MRI, he gave me great advice, and specifically suggested aspirating the fluid in my knee as part of an HA injection. Dr. O’Kane is an excellent sports medicine doctor who focuses on helping his patients heal and continue to enjoy their athletic sports and active lives. I’ve been going to him for over 30 years for a multitude of issues, and think he is absolutely the best. Dr. O’Kane has helped me with torn MCL’s from soccer, as well as broken ribs, torn rotator cuffs, fractures and ligament strains related to a lifetime of horse riding, and knee and hip arthritis from running and climbing. He’s kept me in the game!!

Dr O’Kane has made some of the most astute comments about my post surgery care when I don’t factor in my age. And he has trained many young sports medicine doctors to be more empathic in their responses to aging athletes; helping me develop a healthier attitude about competition and it’s place in my life after the age of 70. Who needs CBT if you’ve got him in your corner?
