THEY ARE NOT A TREATMENT CENTER. My son (who was dealing with addiction and mental health) was referred to the John Volken Academy in ****, ********** from the local detox center. Upon arrival, he had to sign their policies and rules to abide by. One of their stipulations for acceptance was to cut his hair. Part of our culture, as a Native American, is to keep our hair long.
