The schedulers refused to give me an appointment with the doctor I was referred to. They told me Dr. Schmerler took care of neuropathy. I waited 6 weeks for an appointment. The first thing he told me was that he doesn’t treat neuropathy. Then he proceeded to tell me that I was pretty, sweet and had a nice smile. He kept saying that he couldn’t believe that I wasn’t married and had no children. He finally said he would order lab work and call me with results. He said I should come back in 3 months and if I was worse then he w... read more
I've seen Dr. Schmerler twice now and both times I was brushed off. I have Dysautonomia and I went back to him hoping he could help me manage my symptoms until I could get in with the specialist, but I was told that it's just my depression and anxiety. He is nice, but I don't feel like he listened to me or my concerns. I brought a list of my symptoms and he only glanced at it before handing it back and told me I was healthy. He checked my reflexes and sent me on my way.
Dr. Schmerler diagnosed my wife's mulitiple sclerosis 22 years ago and we have been with him ever since. He has always taken the time to explain treatment options and the pros and cons. In addition, his support staff have been very helpful. He has been a trusted doctor. He may retire in the next few years, but we will stay with him until that day.
Until another doctor can prove otherwise, I’m convinced this man ruined my life with the surgery he performed on me
I had surgery 4 years ago and am still in terrible pain. He is very unprofessional and yelled at me in the hospital after surgery, for something a nurse did!!
I was referred to Dr. Neumann for severe lower back pain caused by a compression fracture in L5. We discussed Kyphoplasty, he setup another X-ray then a MRI revealing L4 and L3 were also fractured. I had the surgery done cementing L5, 4, and 3. Dr. Neumann is very professional, answered all my questions, his surgical/office staff are compassionate and friendly. I have no lower back pain, feel great and so thankful. I couldn’t ask for a better outcome. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Neumann!
He listens, doesn’t rush, and truly cares for his patients. Very very knowledgeable, but not arrogant. Highly recommend!
Could not have been more impressed with the compassion and caring of Dr. Newman. I would recommend him anytime to anyone. I feel like he saved my husbands life after a emergency prior brain surgery while on vacation in another state had gotten infected. Actually sits and listens to you and your concerns. Never once felt like he was rushing us thru an appointment. Thank you doc.
Very through and takes his time. Does not rush. Does a lot of test and does a great history.
