Been waiting months to see a doctor and I finally got an appointment. For him to only come in for 5 minutes and immediately tell me Im fine and to start working out everyday. I had to tell him about the cyst for him to be like oh let me look and pull up the right mri and then still say yeah just take a Tylenol. I feel so defeated! Definitely get a second opinion.
Do not waste your time. I have excruciating back pain after having my son (standing, sitting, laying down) he saw my pelvic mri and immediately assumed and was persistent I had a bone infection and sent me to do blood labs for it even though I had no symptoms of an infection. Blood draw came back normal. Made me come in to read me the results which I could read myself and proceeded to tell me nothing is going to help my pain and to “pop Tylenol” and get on an “exercise bike” even with my pelvic pain. I have had pain so bad for 4 months I can't bend over. This doctor said..I won't do an mri for surgery that can't be done before May. Take some ibuprofen. You might get use to the pain and decide you don't need surgery. He didnt believe I coukd not take ibuprofen until I showed him the stomach monitor I'm on. This guy doesn't care about your pain. He also knows nothing about cutting edge treatments using small incisions and glue/cement to fuse disc's when needed.
Worst Dr doesn't care about people's pain
If I could give 0 stars I really would. Early September of this year, I visited Dr. Steinmann in hopes to receive a microdiscectomy. As someone who was suffering from a lot of pain on my lower back and left leg, I was eager to speak to him. But to my disappointment, Dr. Steinmann seemed like he was in a rush as he was in the room for barely 5 minutes. He took a look at my MRI result and suggested I get a steroid shot.
